Race Rules

Helmets must be worn at all times
This is a self-supported race
Skis must be securely attached to pack for all boot sections
Racers must stay on course
No littering
You must ascend with skins
You must descend with boots locked and locked into the ski
Skins must be fully tucked into suit/jacket prior to leaving the transition area
All transitions must occur entirely within the marked transition zone
Poles must be flat on the ground during all transitions
Race and checkpoint officials can require racers to put on jackets at any time

Mandatory Gear

Skis Minimum length: women - 150cm, men - 160cm.
Bindings Toe and heel piece must be same brand.
Skins At least 1 pair.
Clothing Three upper body layers, one layer must be windproof. Two lower body layers.
Beacon Conforms to standard EN 300718 457 kHz frequency.
Shovel Minimum length 50 cm (No snow claws)
Probe Minimum 240cm (No probe poles)
Helmet Must meet UIAA 106 or CE EN 12492 standard
Pack Skis must be secured to pack for all boot packs
